I parked my Suzuki cruiser bike at the sunny end of the Zion Mt. Carmel highway tunnel, the sun increasing the orange-red intensity of the sandstone rock walls. More than 100 years ago, this mile-long tunnel was blasted open and it's an amazing site still today. I visited on a weekday late in the season, otherwise the vehicle traffic can get heavy. And, I will admit, I did photoshop out a "no walking" road sign that sits at the right side of tunnel entrance, and just looked bad in the pic.

America, and the world, will survive. So you should visit places like Zion National Park in Utah. Ride a motorcycle through it if you can. Weekday, late-season visit, no other vehicles!
