Momentum & self-urgency toward #writing & finishing this 1st draft today: picked up a burr coffee grinder from the Buy Nothing group (cold brew!), wrote 2,633 words, was part of a beautiful Tin House #thww presentation by Cyrus Dunham, & finished a reading hybrid languages class!

The Tin House Winter Workshop was such a gift, wow. It felt like a celebration of #writing and our work through and through. I am so grateful I shot my shot, baby writer non-MFA me, got past the waitlist, and did the thing. The reminder is, do or do not, there is no try. ✍🏼 #thww

I am so grateful to have had Sasha LaPointe as my creative nonfiction workshop leader this Tin House Winter Workshop. She has so much wisdom, and I am so hyped to finish this draft now with solid intuition, instinct about what's right on the page, and joy. #thww

I'm six minutes into watching yesterday's recording of @speakdeadly's poetry craft talk for #thww and I just keep stopping and pausing to take notes and process, because I know so little about what "poetry" is and I have a feeling my poetry world is about to be rocked

Late night writing: went thru my current draft (now 79,900 words), put all the scenes to be written on index cards, grouped into their chapters/time pds for the memoir, & have a solid game plan to finish this first draft now! Now sleep for 1:30pm EST Tin House Workshop lol #thww

(Don't worry, I cried too. I always cry when I tell that Moth story, and in general I cry a lot when I'm storytelling 😭) It's a gift to be able to connect with folks through words and participant/faculty readings. ❤️ #thww

So grateful to be on Day 3 of the Tin House Winter Workshop. I feel in a community with kindred spirits as I grow my book list, my desire to write/revise, & my dream to get this memoir out into the world!! Still have lots of work to do, but wow, what a group to do it with. #thww
