Looking at the lighting now, and it's all blue-hued. Sure you can pass it off as moonlight, but that is deliberate colour-grading to give it more blue tones - esp now that we know who the Dark Wizard is rumoured to be. #TROPRewatch

Gods I wish more people could have seen this on the big screen. I repeat: they did not need to put such effort into the VFX for an episode of TV, but I am grateful they did.

This whole sequence, coupled with Bear McCreary's score.

Peter Mullan did not have to go so hard for an episode of TV but good lord what an absolute legend. And what an awesome person he is IRL, too. We will miss him so much going into S3 #TROPRewatch

Again, I will say that trying to convey complex emotions through all the prosthetics, makeup and hair is no easy feat - a lot of lesser actors can get lost in them - and here we have Owain and Peter making it look so effortless.

A day late with #TROPRewatch cos of illness, and I wanted to give it the proper attention it deserves, because this was the one I was so privileged to watch on the big screen with a hall-full of other fans and two days of no sleep 😆

So here we go with our S2 finale!

Anyway, that was season 2. A pretty good season, in my book - but then you know that, the number of times I’ve watched it already. And that means this round of the #TROPRewatch is done, you’ll be utterly indifferent to hear.

Arondir, Galadriel, Gil-Galad and Elendil stood on an outcropping of rock, facing the scores of refugee elves below them. Gil-Galad has drawn his sword and is holding it high over his head.
