Taiwan stocks lower at close of trade; Taiwan Weighted down 0.23%
Investing.com – Taiwan stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the , Glass and Plastic sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Taiwan, the Taiwan Weighted fell 0.23%.
The best performers of the session on the Taiwan Weighted were Calin Technology Co Ltd (TW:4976), which rose 9.98% or 4.45 points to trade at 49.05 at the close. Meanwhile, Sunjuice Holdings Co Ltd (TW:1256) added 9.96% or 13.00 points to end at 143.50 and National Aerospace Fasteners Corp (TW:3004) was up 9.85% or 13.00 points to 145.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were United Integrated Services Co Ltd (TW:2404), which fell 9.88% or 120.00 points to trade at 1,095.00 at the close. Taiwan Glass Ind Corp (TW:1802) declined 9.87% or 3.15 points to end at 28.75 and Aurotek Corp (TW:6215) was down 9.72% or 14.00 points to 130.00.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Taiwan Stock Exchange by 0 to 0.
Shares in Calin Technology Co Ltd (TW:4976) rose to 52-week highs; gaining 9.98% or 4.45 to 49.05.
Crude oil for October delivery was down 0.77% or 0.49 to $63.48 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November fell 0.71% or 0.48 to hit $67.12 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 1.40% or 50.78 to trade at $3,584.72 a troy ounce.
USD/TWD was down 0.13% to 30.70, while TWD/CNY unchanged 0.22% to 0.23.

The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.10% at 98.18.
