A ★★★★ review of Tank Girl (1995) I love the 90s! Lori Petty is a goddess and has incredible chemistry with Naomi Watts. Her comedic timing, fits, and general vibes are immaculate.  Mutant kangaroos are sexy, and the military industrial water complex isn’t.  The soundtrack and the animated interstitials are easily the highlight of the film, but Rachel Talalay is also an underrated action director.

Today is Tank Girl Day! On this day in 1995, #TankGirl hit theaters. While it wasn't appreciated in its time, this is a film that means a great deal to me. I'm grateful it's getting a renaissance now, but I wish it could have been appreciated upon release. 🧵

I've been planning this drawing since I watched #tankgirl last year and saw the Liquid Silver scene. The outfits the women at the club are wearing are so Einsof's aesthetic and I wanted to homage that in this. I have to include this song as well, which I drew this piece to.
