Abu Simbel was built for Ramses II (1279β1213 BCE) and then in the 1960s cut into over 1000 pieces and rebuilt on higher ground to avoid the flooding of Lake Nasser. The Greater Temple is 4 statues of Ramses and the Small Temple was built for his wife Nefertari.

I'm going to try my paws at making Chicken Paprikash. It's come up a few times in conversation over the years, and mentioned in a few movies. I've never had it. Recently, the #TastingHistory channel featured a recipe, from the 1800's. It's fairly easy. Not many ingredients, but time consuming.
Well. I think he did way ok!!! A few broke apart, but considering this was the FIRST TIME tortillas were made from scratch here, that's fine! Yes, they look more like an empanada or something, but these were the og quesadillas. Look at that cheese pull!!

The story (time: 7:18) told in this cooking video is so beautiful and encouraging! The whole video is great, but that story made me weep! It warmed my heart and gave me hope.

Why do I, the chronically ill person without the oomph to do more than laundry 99% of time have such an urge to make the "original" pumpkin pie recipe from #TastingHistory channel?
It's not like anyone else here even eats pumpkin pie. This would be a whole day project for just me to eat.
