#TheBatman2004 - Cash for Toys

I expected to not really care for this episode, but it ended up a lot of fun. A lot of Cash's scenes actually had me laughing, and I liked the use of Toymaker's toys for the action scenes.

#TheBatman2004 - Fleurs de Mal

Other than the "mystery" aspect being obvious from the first minute, I honestly really liked this one. The tone was pretty creepy at times, and I like how it used a similar idea to TAS' "House and Garden," while being completely different.

#TheBatman2004 - The Laughing Cats

Took a bit to get going, but I thought this was really fun overall. I really liked the Batgirl/Catwoman dynamic here. Joker's obsession with the hyenas was fitting, but things really takes off once the action in the maze starts IMO.

I haven't seen this show in decades. I remember when it first aired people hated it for not being BTAS or BatmanBeyond, but #TheBatman2004 is pretty fun in it's own right. Also I can't believe this show is TWENTY YEARS OLD!

#TheBatman2004 - Brawn

A fun Joker episode, even if it doesn't live up to his season 2 episodes. The Bane serum gives his action scenes an interesting twist. I like how it leads to the running gag of Batgirl's feelings of uselessness, and having to use strategy for the fight.

#TheBatman2004 - RPM

This one was pretty fun. The villain was a bit generic, and obviously meant to emphasize stylish action over substance, but in that sense it pulled off what it was trying to do. The action was good, and very well animated.

#TheBatman2004 - A Fistful of Felt

This one was alright, but I couldn't help thinking of a similar, better episode of TAS, "Double Talk." There's definitely fun moments here, like the Scarface vs. Mr. Snoots scene. Also, good use of Hugo Strange, hinting at his true nature.

#TheBatman2004 - A Dark Knight to Remember

I like how this handles Batgirl's curiosity about Batman's identity. And they do a pretty good job with the amnesia angle, even if they could have done a bit more. Nice action with Penguin, and the later Kabuki Twins fight was fun.

#TheBatman2004 - Batgirl Begins, Part 2

A solid continuation, and nice step up from part 1 IMO. I liked seeing Barbara forming the Batgirl persona, her attempts at convincing Batman to team up, and the fight against Ivy. I'm curious to see what she adds to the show's dynamics.

#TheBatman2004 - Batgirl Begins, Part 1

It took me a bit to get into this, given the episode structure and the intro of Batgirl and Ivy, but I got more into it as it went on. The new characters have potential, and I like Barbara's relationship with Gordon.

#TheBatman2004 - Night and the City

Great end to the season. The four-way chase for Batman from Joker, Riddler, Penguin and the cops was really well done here, leading to some great action. Nice intro to Gordon. Though I've heard it's Yin's final episode which is unfortunate.

#TheBatman2004 - Strange Minds

The writers really stepped up their game with the Joker episodes this season. Stepping into the Joker's mind is an interesting idea, and they do a really good job of leaning into the surreal nature of the idea. Also, good intro to Hugo Strange.

Batgirl ( Barbara Gordon ) from The Batman 2004 is in a superhero landing-like pose after beating up two goons who are now laying unconscious behind her. The alley is foggy and a little wet, with some bats flying above.

The Batgirl Strikes!

Happy International Women's Day! (it was perfect timing on my end for this to line up on today xd)

#TheBatman2004 - Grundy's Night

A fun Halloween episode, and a good use of Grundy's character. They did a good job portraying his brute force here. And I liked the twist near the end, and the action sequence after that was a lot of fun.

#TheBatman2004 - The Butler Did It

I wasn't sure about this one at first, but I thought they did a good job with it in the end. Spellbinder was a pretty fun villain, and I liked how they used his his hypnotism and hallucination powers. And nice use of Alfred in the 2nd half.

#TheBatman2004 - Ragdolls to Riches

Really liked Ragdoll as a villain. You can tell they had fun with the contortionist angle, which helped make the action more interesting. I also liked the triple-sided dynamic between him, Catwoman, and Batman.

#TheBatman2004 - JTV

This "Joker takes over TV" story may not be original, but can be really fun when done right. And this one works well, with some good Joker dialogue and action. Cash was a fun partner for Yin, but glad he seems to be a one-off.

#TheBatman2004 - Meltdown

Really good return for Clayface. I like how it addresses the threads left from when he turned back in season 1. His struggles with keeping his humanity, and his interactions with Bruce, Yin, and Joker were all interesting to see.

#TheBatman2004 - Pets

An ok story, but probably the weakest one of the season so far. I did like the return of Man-Bat, and his battle with Batman near the end though.

#TheBatman2004 - Swamped

Decent enough episode, even if not one of the better ones. Part of that is that I'm not sold on this take on Killer Croc. But it was still fun, and had some good action.

#TheBatman2004 - The Laughing Bat

OK, this one was pretty awesome. Up there with some of Joker's best across the various Batman shows IMO. Love Joker's twisted take on Batman's vigilantism, and Batman's condition getting worse after being infected.

#TheBatman2004 - Fire and Ice

A step down from recent episodes, but still a fun Mr. Freeze/Firefly team-up. The action was good, and I liked the part at the police charity. Of course these 2 teaming up means double the puns, which could be a lot to handle.

#TheBatman2004 - Riddled

Other than not caring for the visual design, I really liked this take on the Riddler. The plot was interesting, and let them play with the Batman/Yin dynamic in a fun way. And Robert Englund was a good fit for this version of the character.

#TheBatman2004 - The Cat, the Bat and the Very Ugly

Pretty fun team-up between Catwoman and The Penguin. I thought the second half was better though, as it gets more into Batman's dynamic with Catwoman, and the new dynamic he has with Yin.

#TheBatman2004 - The Clayface of Tragedy

Really good ending of the season. I really liked Clayface's story, as a different take on his origin. Also, nice turn for Yin's character here, setting things up for a new dynamic next season.

#TheBatman2004 - The Rubberface of Comedy

Not only the best Joker episode, but favorite episode of the show so far. I liked the balance between chasing the Joker and the conflict with the cops. And it's nice seeing Bennett's story come to a head, especially with that twist.

#TheBatman2004 - Bird of Prey

I liked Bruce's dynamic with the TV crew that was interviewing him, and how he had to navigate his role as Batman during Penguin's attack. I do miss the Kabuki Twins' bigger role, but otherwise it's a step up from Penguin's first episode.

And then season 3 introduces Batgirl right out of the bat (no pun intended).

What is this new opening song tho wtf. Not a huge fan of the original intro but it was way better than this new one. #DC #Batman #TheBatman2004
