Strength is a Choice Life presents challenges regardless of our readiness, forcing us to choose strength daily. The author shares personal experiences of their wife enduring health issues with resilience, while navigating their own feelings of confusion and undervaluation at work. They emphasize that true strength is an active choice, not passive acceptance.

Life gets heavy. You feel lost. Overlooked. Hurt.
But strength is a choice.
Not a feeling — a decision.
I don’t know what tomorrow brings, but I know I’ll get up and try again.
You’ve survived everything so far. Choose to rise.

What Writing Has Done for My Well Being Express my feelings Positively, I have been able to focus on how I currently feel, and how certain events make me feel. I am learning how similar a lot of the things that I feel is similar to what others may also feel. Sharing that provides myself and them with peace of mind. It allows me to tap into another part of my mind that expresses my creativity.

Expressing my feelings has helped me realize I’m not alone—and neither are you. Pain builds character. Struggle builds strength. The only real failure is quitting. You almost didn’t make it… but you did. Keep moving forward.

What I Learned: Big Sis How to Treat and Love Others I felt it was important to start with my sister. She’s gone now, and with her went a large part of what first brought my mother pride. Her first and only daughter. A brilliant woman who carried so much love and affection. She was everything you’d want in a big sister, and everything a mother hopes her daughter can be.

I learned how to treat and love others from my sister. Through her strength, honesty, and compassion—even in struggle. Some lessons don’t come from books. They come from people who shape you forever.

Creating Resolutions That Stick Task 1 Don't set a resolution. Task 2 I found setting a resolution, just doesn't work. I don't tell anyone I am doing it, I know what I want to do, I just figure out the how, when, and where and follow through. If you said you wanted to give up social media, why delete the app? Start with moving it to a far off page on your phone where apps you rarely, or never use is located, and maybe even put it in a folder, make it more difficult to access.

Resolutions fail because they rely on motivation. Systems work because they rely on consistency. Make habits harder to avoid, easier to start, and forgiving when you slip. Progress beats perfection every time.

Top 3, Pet Peeves I could write about this probably all day, and for multiple categories. Let's just get into it though. Category: Interpersonal Obviously, there are obvious things that can make you a worse person, things that are against the law, but here are a few things I really dislike. Hypocrite: What could be worse than someone saying you shouldn't do something, and then them justifying it for their cause?

I can forgive mistakes, but not excuses. Be accountable, stay real, try your best, and follow your own path. If people can’t match your energy, find those who can. Your environment shapes you—choose it wisely.

Favorite Place to Go in My City Ocean Beach serves as a vital escape for the author, offering tranquility amidst the city's chaos. Visiting nearby Golden Gate Park brings freedom from noise and stress, allowing for reflection and clarity. Cherished memories of bike rides symbolize this liberation, making Ocean Beach a cherished place for mental peace and rejuvenation.

Find the place that quiets your mind. For me, it’s Ocean Beach — the waves, the wind, the peace I never had growing up. Escape isn’t running away. It’s giving yourself space to breathe, reset, and remember who you are becoming.

My Adaptation of the 4 Laws of Habit Forming The content emphasizes the importance of visibility in forming habits, summarizing strategies for achieving goals. By creating clear cues and organized routines, such as setting a specific time for exercise or placing essential items in visible locations, individuals can enhance motivation and make habit formation more seamless and automatic.

Good habits start with clear cues. When you make your routine obvious—shoes by the door, keys in the same spot, a set time to move—you remove excuses. Visibility creates consistency. #TheBlueprintMindset #AtomicHabits

What Part of My Routine Do I try To Skip The Most? The author shares their struggle with skipping morning routines, particularly stretching, despite being athletic. They emphasize the importance of routines in maintaining good habits and achieving success. Skipping minor routines can lead to unwanted habits and pain. Adapting habits while staying consistent, even in challenging circumstances, is key to personal development.

I used to skip stretching, runs in the rain, even small routines. But skipping once turns into skipping twice. Habits build success when you do the hard things—especially when you don’t feel like it. #TheBlueprintMindset #Habits #Growth

How Would I describe myself Caring Brutaly Honest Resourceful Hard Working Friendly/Team Oriented Leader CaringIf you're in my circle, your in it until you're not. I lift up, protect and always have the back of people in my corner. Usually to make it in my circle, reciprocation is key. To me though, those people that I care for, are the most important people in the world to me.

Caring. Honest. Resourceful. Hardworking. Leader.
I uplift my people, speak truth even when it stings, and lead from the front.
I’m built different—because the people who shaped me demanded it.

Modern Societ. What would I change? The author reflects on economic systems, nuclear threats, and electric vehicles. They advocate for economic equality and better access to education while questioning extreme wealth concentration. The dangers of nuclear weapons as deterrents complicate global disarmament. Lastly, they express skepticism about the current state of electric vehicles, highlighting challenges in readiness and infrastructure.

Wealth gaps, nuclear threats, and EVs all have one thing in common: we know the problems, but we're still avoiding the harder questions.
No easy answers—just honest thoughts.

Time Thieves Gaming Sleep Running Work (Job, or at home) GamingTime just blows by gaming. I love it though, I find myself very busy with many different hobbies I am interested in doing in my life now. Sitting in front of a screen and vegging is necessary from time to time. It allows me to reset my brain and just melt. …

⏳ Where does the time go?
Gaming melts my brain (in a good way).
Running clears it.
Work makes hours vanish.
Sleep steals time I wish I could keep.

I'm learning to measure time in value, not hours.

What steals yours? What feeds it back?

Where am I an SME? When I think about where I’m considered an authority or an SME, a few subjects come to mind instantly—my race, growing up poor, and overcoming obstacles. I'd also throw in self-help, because that’s something I’ve lived and breathed for years and have also spent a lot of time researching lately to further my understanding. I’m an SME when it comes to being Black—because well, I am.

I didn’t read it in a book. I lived it.
I’m an SME in being Black, being broke, and breaking through.
This post is a reflection on what life taught me—and how that made me an expert in self-help, grit, and growth.

You’re Afraid to Fail. I’m Afraid to Not Try. Failure serves as essential feedback, guiding us towards success. Embracing failure as a learning opportunity enables personal growth and encourages us to try despite fears.

What if failure wasn’t the enemy—but the path? I’m not afraid to fail. I’m afraid to never try. This one’s for the dreamers, doers, and those still figuring it out. #TheBlueprintMindset
