Why are there so many sub par steakhouses in the world like Texas Roadhouse and Longhorn?

People want good food at reasonable prices. A decent steak is $30 these days, or more. Our beef industry has no shortage.

Corporate greed is the answer. Selling crap food for luxury prices.
