Anyway, TL;DR #TheKeeperOfStars by Buck Turner is a rather blatant reattempt of #TheNotebook that at least gave me a bit more hope before it ultimately left me facepalming and rolling my eyes.
Nice to at least have read it so that now we can finally donate it to the library.
And while #TheKeeperOfStars isn’t THAT BAD?
It still irks us that cis men want to write strong women while ultimately having them be motivated by the shit cis men think they’re supposed to be motivated by.
We finally read one of our many books left over from when we worked at the bookstore and, I gotta say? While this one gave us a lot of hope for most of it, the final payoff left us remembering why we roll our eyes at the way cis men write women 🙄
