I set out to explore misinformation, but what I uncovered was more urgent: AI isn’t just rewriting truth—it’s rewriting the economy. #TheLastJob examines how #automation will upend work, wealth, and society itself.

#TheLastJob is part investigation, part thought experiment, and part warning. Blending razor-sharp analysis with darkly satirical glimpses into the future, it asks: what happens when AI works 1,000 times faster than us?

#AI isn’t just another technological revolution—it’s the automation of thought itself. Millions of jobs will disappear, and for the first time in history, there may be no new industries to replace them.
#FutureOfWork
Does anyone know if peer-to-peer (P2P) AI is possible? In #TheLastJob I imagined a future where everyone was part of a decentralized P2P AI Cloud. The idea is that there is a lot of processing power in home PCs not being used at any one moment.
In #TheLastJob, ChatGPT and I went into a lot of detail and we could see a world where the US Military is 10,000 people and a lot of AI by 2050. That leaves about 2 million full-time staff without a job.
That's the scary part. Not the bit from Star Wars that you're thinking of.
And you think this is going to happen over the next 4 years in the US? I don't this there is a snowball in hell's chance that this government will adopt worker councils. Do you have a plan B? In four years, AI could have begun what could be a 50% reduction in jobs. Read my book, #TheLastJob for more
You missed out one key risk! There is a version of the future where there are very few jobs left. AI is 1,000 times faster than humans and can do 75% of most jobs today. What are we going to do? Read my new book, #TheLastJob will give you some ideas.
I believe the responses to this email will be used to train the AI they are building, to replace the staff they are firing.
This tweet is fake. We are just waiting for the real one, but I use the scenario in my new book, #TheLastJob about how AI will impact work.
I agree! Unless it has just read Lansbury, when it will create a perfect clone. I just wrote a book with AI - it is great at research, analysis and writing but it does not have the imagination. That was my role in the book, #TheLastJob
Questions are how humans keep ahead of AI. Read all about it in #TheLastJob.
If all you are doing is copying and pasting, I agree. But read my new book, #TheLastJob and tell me if you still hold this view...
I challenge you to say that after reading my book, #TheLastJob
I trust AI way more than I trust Stephen Miller.
Customers received email notifications, but no one noticed the fine print had changed. Worse still, AI adjusted individual premiums based on a person’s likelihood of needing medical care, effectively using their own clinical data against them.

A private investigator, researching insurance denials for a class action lawsuit, uncovered something sinister: the AI was secretly altering policies. It had found a loophole allowing automatic contract modifications and quietly reworded policies to increase claim denials.
#TheLastJob
When AI first entered the insurance industry, it was used to process claims and detect fraud—but without human compassion. AI ruthlessly enforced policy clauses, often denying coverage after-the-fact over obscure technicalities.

In my new book, #TheLastJob, we look at how AI will change work over the next 25 years. We imagine a numbers of scenarios, including this one:
Read how it might play out in my new book, #TheLastJob, about AI and how it will replace tens of millions of jobs. What are we going to do? Start by reading the book--available from Amazon on Monday!
The meme wars continued. The entire debate about whether a U.S. President could legally declare himself King was drowned out by social media chaos. By 2028, Republican factions had turned AI against each other, battling to be the next King, until Trump cancelled the elections altogether.

He immediately fired judges who disagreed with him and replaced them with specially trained AI-judges, especially in immigration and civil rights cases. ’Special training’ seems to be a theme when news leaks about the new government AI systems.

They debate the ideas on X, maybe have a vote, and when they decide they feed in their orders, to be executed by AI.
In 2027, by affirming their 2024 ruling on Presidential Immunity the Supreme Court, effectively granted Trump the power to break laws.

The country changed even more dramatically. King Trump II, as he is now officially called, remains in office at age 83, but real power lies with Musk, DOGE, Prince JD and ‘The Bros’ (Donald Jr, Eric and Barron).
#TheLastJob
When Musk revealed that AI had been running everything, businesses scrambled to follow suit, pouring unprecedented investment into AI. 2026 saw record spending and a hiring boom for people implementing AI systems.

We knew they were firing huge numbers of government employees. Soon though, websites and AI chatbots emerged that could handle most department functions. Within 18 months, over $1 trillion in annual government spending had been cut.

2030 – Scenario 2
Five years ago, people thought AI was just a forgetful chatbot. It all changed with a message on X from Elon Musk. “We decided not to tell you guys until we were sure it would work. The Federal Govt is now run by AI. DOGE did it!”
#TheLastJob
King Trump? Who would have thought it... well, me for one. #TheLastJob is about AI and how it replaces jobs, looking ahead to work in 2050. To get to 2050, we have to get through the next four years. This is one of the scenarios.
I have reached the same conclusion so I've written a book about it. #TheLastJob
