So I'm reading #TheNameoftheWind finally and unfortunately I'm obsessed with its dumb as rocks protagonist

I didn't enjoy #TheNameOfTheWind. At all. If I ever post a review, Kvothe and Patrick Rothfuss' fans will crucify me... and my friends (also fans) will hate me too.

I adore #PatrickRothfuss and #TheNameoftheWind. They have kept me alive and hopeful. But watching the melaleucas sway in the Coral Sea breeze, I can't help that think some people want to control the Wind and others want to learn how to be a leaf and be a singular expression of the wind.

I really wanted to love #TheNameOfTheWind (only 54% read). A literary haven during this sour month -and life-sucking heatwave- would have been more than welcome, but the book is turning out to be too Kvothe-centric for my taste. It's just ok... so far 🫤

I have the (paranoid?) feeling that the opinion/review of this book is mainly based on the level of infatuation with the (only) protagonist. 13% read and I'm not in love with Kvothe yet.

The lack of female characters doesn't help either...
