#EarnestHemingway ‘s #theoldmanandthesea was the first book I vividly remember reading as a young boy. I read it in #Montana in the dead of winter in the early 1970s. His son, Jack, was the first person I interviewed. I met Jack during my #gapyear when I was a #skibum in #SunValley, #Idaho.

The Hemingway Library Collection read continues with The Old Man and the Sea. As a kid I picked this book to write a report due to the small size of it. As an old man, I deeply appreciate the book. Loved it.

The Old Man and the Sea by Ernest Hemingway
A wonderful novella that shows why Hemingway is considered one of the greats. I would recommend this and The Sun Also Rises as ways to enjoy him without his personality getting too much in the way of his words.
