This week, the Institute embarked on our Tennessee / Mississippi Learning Tour with educators from across the country and @ourcommonpower community members.During one of our opening circles, we read a letter written in 1963 by William Moore, a white postal worker and activist murdered while attempting to deliver a letter to Mississippi’s governor calling for an end to segregation.When we realized the letter was never delivered, it became our mission. With the support of Mississippi @representative_fabian, that mission came to life. Rep. Nelson helped amplify the story, brought in local news, and committed to ensuring the letter finally reaches the current governor.This week, our community members completed William Moore’s mission, 62 years later. A powerful reminder of what it means to turn Education to Action.
