Now, I think Jimmy finds it hard to be direct (like that director), and I do not. There's no value in compliment-sandwiching or beating around the bush (which is probably the point of this scene), and I'm happy to say than when I have bad news, I don't struggle to come out with it or drag my feet. But that doesn't make it any easier on me to do.
This #Hacks scene derives its comedy from how hard it is to fire people, & that resonates.
