#TheSwordInTheSand is on temporary pause, due to grief. I've lost four people since the end of May.
I've not stopped #Writing, as I don't want to break the habit, but I'm also not actively writing anything that's... well, SitS is HEAVY. It's DARK. And while ALL my stuff is fairly dark, SitS is 1/
So officially, as of finishing chapter 3 on #TheSwordInTheSand, it is #GRIMDARK #Romance. Like, pretty sure it's more brutal than George Arg Arg Martin.
It's got the SQUICK!🤣

#TheSwordInTheSand wordcount is at 12670. That's after roughly 16 hours of writing, total.
For perspective's sake, that's ALMOST 30% of the length of #PrinceOfIceHeartOfFire, after less than 24 hours of work.
I'm throwing DOWN.

#TheSwordInTheSand is a post-apocalyptic #fantasy #story set in the desert world of Asharun, a once verdant world, ravaged 5 years ago by a Mage War between the Empire, and the Western Alliance. They unleashed Devastator Spells, unaware of the consequences to the world at large, 1/
(So yeah. Finished #PrinceOfIce. Moving on to #TheSwordInTheSand. Like this post says, already at 8,214 words. I started last night. 8 hours. Don't know if I'm calling it done as a short story, or if I'm going full novella or not. #SkyWriters #BookSky #Authors)
Alright, calling #PrinceOfIceHeartOfFire officially done. 43,002 words. All that needs doing now is to send it off to a proper editor for punctuation and whatnot.
Moving on to my next project, #TheSwordInTheSand. Already at 8,214 words (in 8 hours). #BookSky #Authors #Fantasy #SkyWriters
