I heard Star Control II was an amazing experience, and found this open source update to it called The Ur-Quan Masters. A simple "sudo apt install uqm" on the Raspberry Pi 500+ and it was ready to play!

I love this machine so much. Excited to play this!

A quick doodle I did to compensate for the severe lack of art I've done after burning my hand. Ur-Quan Lord 112 is very pleased by her newest recruit's actions in combat and grants him an excellent rank. Even if being aboard a Dreadnought makes him nervous, this Spathi's relieved that Lord 112 has let him off easy.

Modeling #TheUrQuanMasters #StarControl ships for #3dprinting as miniatures meant that I also needed to model some of their auxiliary craft so they could also be deployed to the game table. So far that has meant creating a Chenjesu DOGI, Chmmr Zapsat, and Kzer-Za Fighter to accompany their ships.

LOL, I found this old image I made for an old #VBAM campaign where the Klingons from #StarTrek encountered the Spathi from #TheUrQuanMasters! This shot was composited together using some art I found from the internet, although the planet I think was from a Photoshop plugin from back in the day.

GO! GO! It's the #Orz Nemesis from #TheUrquanMasters #FreeStars #StarControl. In modeling this ship for #3dprinting, I referenced the sprite artwork to get a better indication for what kinds of hull details should be added. I like how this ended up, and it was a fun ship to model.
