Anonymous writes: "Came back to work yesterday. At the end of the school day there was a staff meeting regarding - prep for Holocaust Remembrance Day. Before Passover a special team of teachers was formed, and tasked with creating a document with guidelines for conducting lessons on the topic. The prepared document is wholly dedicated to marrying the events of October 7th 2023 with the Shoah. At the start of the staff meeting, a film was shown depicting the scale of destruction in the settlements around Gaza. After the viewing, teachers were asked to respond to what they'd seen. Here are some responses: Teacher A: "No need to go to Auschwitz anymore." Teacher B: "The Nazis never did things like this." Teacher C: "We need to get all the Arabs out of here." Teacher D: "Along with the Leftists." Afterwards the teachers were divided into teams. Each team was given a printed sheet with the story of a Holocaust survivor, and a printed sheet with the story of someone who'd survived the events of October 7th. The teams were asked to note similarities between the two, and highlight these during lessons tomorrow. Welcome back to Israel."
