A photograph taken from a distance looking down at three women on an empty beach. One is carrying an inflatable life-size mannequin of indeterminate sex with a photograph of a face attached to the head. The woman with a mannequin is standing with her back to the sea, while another takes a photograph of her and the mannequin. The third woman is off to one side, looking back up at the person taking the photo being described.
Sunday morning. We had a coffee in a cafe overlooking a Weston beach empty after rain. These women walked out onto the sand, posed to take a picture, then left. No fuss. What was the story? No clue, but it was fun to wonder what it might be.
