**What isn't #TimmyPitch**
#TimmyPitch isn't a community. It isn't a contest. It isn't serious. It isn't politically correct, but it isn't mean either. It isn't political. It isn't monitized or looking to be monitized. It isn't afraid to be silly and it isn't afraid of nonsense.

So, I thought #TimmyPitch was a good name that would offend the fewest number of people. Also, if you are named Tim and you have a problem with the name #TimmyPitch, you'll have to take it up with the Tims International Mostly-Benevolent Society (TIMS).

Why is it called #TimmyPitch
One of the recurring themes in many of the Cookie Pitch pitches was a character named Timmy. What was once a cute name for Dick & Jane's beloved teddy bear has become shorthand for a funny generic character name.

I miss CookiePitch. It was fun and a great way to be creative in the #kidlit sphere without worrying about everything that came along with the real pitch events. It was a release valve for those who chose to work in the "savage and merciless"* world of #kidlit publishing.

**What is #TimmyPitch**
#TimmyPitch is a fake #kitlit pitch event loosely based on another fake #kidlit pitch event originally called #TacoPitch and then changed, due to delicate sensibilities, to #CookiePitch.
