Chalcopyrite is copper iron sulfide mineral which can be seen in this picture as crystal with a golden-yellow color. This crystal consists of two big crystals grown together and between them smaller colourless crystals have grown which are called Sphalerite.

This is a tourmaline quartz which consists of a big quartz crystal and within it needle-like crystals of tourmaline. In this picture another black tourmaline has grown alongside the tourmaline quartz. You can see the layers of the crystal by looking at the reflective surface.

Rutiled Quartz is a quartz (in this case a tumble stone) which contains needles of rutile (a mineral of titan dioxide). It looks like a lot of single strings of hair in a stone. Very interesting.

Today i was looking for some cool #crystals and #gems… I found a crystal of #chalcopyrite with #sphalerite, then a #TourmalineQuarz with #BlackTourmaline and a strange looking stone called #RutilatedQuartz (consisting of quartz with rutile needles inside it). It has been added to my collection.
