A skeleton inside a barn waves hello. This particular nature preserve is quirkier than most, and one of its notable quirks is a barn in the middle of the forest that has plastic life-size skeletons hanging on the inside walls.

My first snow hike of the season today. A winter wonderland for sure, plus I stopped by to say hello to an old friend.

One description will suffice for all four photos. They're all immense, gray protruding rock formations I captured with my cell phone camera in north New Jersey yesterday. The sun shone, and the fallen brown leaves lay at the base of each formation.

Wyanokie High Point is a domed rock feature in north New Jersey with an almost panoramic view of the surrounding area, including rolling hills and small mountains, along with a reservoir. The posted image shows the next mountain across from Wyanokie, the name of which escapes me. Beyond are rolling blue hills are the southern end of the Wanaque reservoir. On a clear day, the New York City skyline would be visible on the horizon, but there was a fair amount of atmospheric haze when I took the pic.
