It started & ended on it's best foot, but I struggle to think of a 12-episode anime that would have benefited from another cour more than this one. A consistently rushed pacing keep this from greatness.

It's not terribly surprising that once we got back to a 2-pt structure that the pacing slowed back into the sweet spot we started in. The snappy dialog especially hits harder when it isn't overwhelming.
Can't wait to see how it wraps up!

Really hope this show nails the landing, because right now all I'm going to remember is a crazy ambitious story that desparatley needed 24 episodes and some breathing room for its stories, but got neither.
