This infographic from www.bettertransitnow.org highlights MTA's poor transit performance from November 2024 to January 2025. The title states, "Baltimore's unreliable transit service continues to demoralize current riders, discourage new ones and damage the Baltimore region." Two bar charts display key performance metrics. The first chart, "MTA On-Time Performance", shows a goal of 90%, but actual performance falls short: buses at 66%, light rail at 55%, and subways at 47%. A caption notes that riders need at least 90% on-time performance. The second chart, "MTA Scheduled Runs Made", also has a 90% goal. Buses exceed the target at 91%, but light rail (70%) and subway (58%) lag behind. Another caption states that riders need at least 90% of scheduled trips to run. Overall, the infographic emphasizes MTA’s reliability issues, particularly for rail services.
📊 Over the past 3 months, only 66% of @mtamaryland.bsky.social bus service was trackable and on time. Light rail and subway were even worse at 55% and 47%. Baltimore needs #BetterTransitNOW!

A screenshot of a post from a user on Facebook describing how at 6:30pm on a Monday from State Center in Baltimore, the next subway train to Cromwell wasn't for 29 minutes and the next train to BWI wasn't for 43 minutes. Meanwhile, advertisement tie-ins posted in Quebec City's new light rail stations for a new movie read: "you don't have to run in high heels, trains every 4-8 minutes."
Other cities value frequent and reliable transit service. Baltimore can too, but we'll need to fight for it. That's why we're advocating for #BetterTransitNOW!
