A Canada goose sitting on it's nest, neck outstretched towards you and watching warily. A dirty, discarded "Old Tyme" plastic bread bag lays beside the goose.

We almost didn't see her, as still, low, & watchful as she was. Unfortunately, it was the orange on the discarded bread wrapper that initially caught my eye. 😕 Bittersweet.
