I took this photo near where I live. It is a close-up of part of a pale grey tree trunk, with some blurred evergreen trees and grey sky in the background along the left. The grey bark has many small reddish-brown indentations, but centrally, there is a sort of reddish-brown canyon of rings that appear to have been carved by years of erosion from tree sap. In the picture, though, there is just one, small, drop of clear, shiny sap at the entrance to the bark canyon. The crystalline drop of sap is the centre piece of this photo.
I felt up to a tiny bit of exploring today and I came across this tiny drop of sap, shining like a crystal. Nature is so magical ✨️
