#Trekisodes2 - Guinan
#StarTrek
#TrekSky

Whoopi Goldberg was pure steel and confidence in TNG s3e15 "Yesterday's Enterprise" - indeed, she was quite possibly the best part of a top 10 (top 5?) episode of Star Trek, all time.

The best arc in all of Trek. Citing two episodes, one a bit of fun with Jake, the other one of the most moving in all of Trek's canon.

#trekisodes2 30-day challenge day 23- T’Pol

T’Pol’s view of humanity, and of Archer specifically, evolves throughout the series. From distrust to loyalty.

“My experience with Humans is limited, but I've come to learn that they are quite resourceful.”

One of my favorite things about Rutherford is his friendship with Tendi. May everyone get a friendship like that.

#trekisodes2 30-day challenge day 21- Tilly

Tilly pretending to be the Terran Empire “Captain Killy” shows us just how bad ass she can be.

“Is that how you treat your long-lost captain? If you greeted me that way, Connor, I'd cut out your tongue and use it to lick my boots”

#trekisodes2 30-day challenge day 20- Tom Paris

For me, the most interesting character growth in Tom Paris stems from his relationship with B’Elanna. The moment they share their feelings while floating in space is one that sticks out.

#trekisodes2 30-day challenge day 19- Jurati

I took a break from posting, so fell behind on these. But I’m going to finish.

I think this moment is polarizing for Trek fans, but I loved it. Agnes/the Borg Queen singing a Pat Benatar song. Magic.

#StarTrek

One of the greatest of all Trek characters, I was so excited when she returned for PIC. I found her compelling at all times, but in PIC s1e8 "Broken Pieces," there was something even more locked-in about Ryan's performance.

#TrekSky

What's not to love about Garak, who was charming and intriguing from his very first line. Still, I'm going to go with DS9 s2e18 "Profit and Loss" because it reveals so much about Garak's actual feelings towards Cardassia, power and the state.

30. Guinan

Even though Guinan has some great episodes, this episode was quite straightforward to pick. We find out a lot about Guinan's past in this one.

There's so much to love about Zero. I really enjoyed the character's work in PRO s1e12 "Let Sleeping Borg Lie."

29. Spock

Seriously? Spock. One of the greatest, if not THE greatest character in Star Trek. And you want me to pick ONE episode? Just one. Okay I'll pick this classic two-parter, with more impact now after Strange New Worlds.

It took me a long time to appreciate Enterprise, but from the start, I thought the best part of the show was T'pol. She's universally great, but ENT s2e2 "Carbon Creek," is such a great character piece.

28. Lwaxana Troi

Look I'll be honest, whenever I saw Lwaxana Troi was going to be an episode of TNG, I groaned. However, Majel is the Queen. DS9 gave her better storylines though, and personally this episode was a riot!

#Trekisodes2 - Day 30: Guinan
TNG's "Suspicions"

Guinan's friendly and calm demeanor belies a tough and firm personality. In this episode, Guinan faked a tennis elbow injury to find out what happened to Beverly. Guinan then encouraged her to continue her investigation.

27. Nog

You don't need to tell me about the journey this little guy took through the seven seasons of DS9. He was a stand-out recurring character. There are so many good episodes to pick but I'm picking..

#Trekisodes2 - Day 29: Spock
TOS' "The Galileo Seven"

This was one of the first times we saw Spock in command who caused friction with the rest of the landing party (except Scotty) when he used his Vulcan logic. It was an emotional action which provided the key to being rescued.

Seven became so much more than the Borg "babe" they thought they'd hired. While I do still have a crush on her in that silver catsuit, she became so much more compelling, first in Voyager and then in Picard culiminating in...

PIC novel "Firewall" by @davidmack.bsky.social

I realized I accidentally skipped the prompt for Seven.
This novel focuses on Seven's time with the Fenris Rangers, after VOY and before we see her in PIC. It's an excellent book & highly recommended.

#Trekisodes2 - Day 27: Lwaxana
DS9's "The Forsaken"

While I wasn't a big fan of the early TNG Lwaxana episodes in which she had a more comedic role, I did like the later ones such as "Half a Life" & "Dark Page". The scenes she had with Odo in the turbolift were excellent.

#Trekisodes2 - Day 26: Nog

Nog has one of the best character development arcs in the franchise. I will go back to early S1. Sisko thought Jake & Nog was up to no good. He discovered that Jake was teaching Nog how to read, which would start Nog's journey...

I needed a little time to warm to Tilly's energy, but I quickly came to embrace the character and really love her. By DSC s4e13 "Coming Home," her confidence, grit, mentoring and leadership felt like a fully earned character arc with one season to go.

#Trekisodes2 - Tom Paris

Tom was never my favorite, but he had great moments. "Captain Proton," introduced in s5e1 "Night," was a great fit for the best parts of that character, and a bit of lightness in one of Voyager's darkest (and best) episodes.
