Today marks the 100 anniversary of the deadliest tornado ever recorded in US history. On March 18, 1925, nearly 700 people lost their lives from the Tri-state tornado. This tragedy should never be forgotten as some like this can happen again.

In the early 2000s, a group of mainly retired forecasters, incl. the late Bob Johns and Chuck Doswell sought to reconstruct the meteorological setup of the #TriStateTornado. In 1925, there were no radars or satellites. Much of their analysis was based on surface charts. Read: doi.org/10.55599/ejs...
