I think they meant that to be more powerful but it felt too rushed for its sentiment somehow. And Cagney has played more viscerally "bad". If his arc was the point, he didn't start out bad enough and then showed his hand too early. I'll watch it again, maybe it's me. #TributeToABadMan #TCMParty
