I had the distinct pleasure to spend World #TsunamiDay in Long Beach, WA yesterday, including a VERY windy visit to North Head Lighthouse. I visited this light so often with my parents as a child and it features in my memorial tattoo for my father. It's always an honor to be in its presence!

The 2004 Indian Ocean tsunami was one of the most devastating disasters in living memory.

Our first responders were on the ground within hours to deliver emergency relief.

The work of UN’s emergency team #UNDAC remains as life-saving today as ever.
