As we mark the "New Year of Trees," we celebrate the deep roots of resilience in the #IBD community. Remember, growth takes time, but your strength is unshakeable. 💜

This evening is the start of #TuBShevat, the Jewish New Year of the Trees.
The holiday reminds us that even in the depths of winter, renewal takes root, and we pray that seeds of hope lead to healing and a more peaceful future.
Hee. And gut yontif, everybody -- grab that #bokser! ("Bokser, or carob, is a dark, tough, and sweet-scented pod from the carob tree [Ceratonia siliqua], traditionally eaten during the Jewish holiday of #TuBShevat.")
Tu B'Shevat Ballet, for lemon tree, rain, and wind.
Tu B'Shevat is a Jewish holiday celebrating the trees. It began in ancient times as an accounting device but today it has acquired a myriad of meanings. #Judaism101 #TuBShevat #AppreciateTheTrees
🌳 Happy Tu B’Shevat from all of us at Shamayim! Today, we celebrate the trees, the earth, and our responsibility to protect them. 🌍🌿 #TuBShevat #Jewish #Vegan

Budding and flowering branches on a Florida plum tree
My little plum tree is ready for #TuBShevat, the New Year of the Trees. She’ll look lovely under tonight’s full moon. As a public service reminder, it’s two Jewish months until the first Seder. Start panicking now and avoid the rush. #Jewsky
In case you're wondering, it's #TuBShevat. There is a wonderful local QT covid cautious minyan, and it's one of my favorite holidays. But it feels like it exists in a parallel universe from the one I'm rapidly securing my internets, making sure my passport's renewed, & loose ends are tied up.

Today is #TuBShevat, aka The New Year of the Trees, aka Jewish Arbor Day. All over Israel (and in other warm locales) trees are being planted for the future. My purple magnolia isn’t quite ready for prime time, but it’s full of buds waiting to burst out. Happy New Year, trees!🌳🌺
