🌏 Dusky Thrush (Turdus eunomus) The Dusky Thrush is a medium-sized bird with a dark brown back and a contrasting white eyebrow. Its underside is white with a heavily streaked breast and flanks, and it has a distinctive rusty-red panel on its wings. This species breeds in the open woodlands and tundra-edges of central and eastern Siberia. It is a strong migratory bird, travelling south to winter in eastern and southeastern Asia, including parts of China and Japan. Dusky Thrushes are often seen alone but will form small flocks during migration and winter. They forage for insects, worms, and berries on the ground, typically by hopping and pausing frequently.
