Chelsea began their #U17PLCup campaign with a 2-2 draw at home to a good Charlton team this afternoon. Chris Atherton and Jayden Malundama twice put them ahead but goals from Peterkin and Richman, plus several good saves from Williams, saw the Addicks earn a point.

Chelsea have been drawn against Brighton, Charlton and Southampton in the #U17PLCup draw. Home against the first two, away against Saints, fixtures in September and October.
