The Department of Educational Psychology cordially invites you to a seminar on: Reclaiming the Narrative: Disability as a Driver of Professional Excellence This seminar analyses how shifting the societal and business narrative regarding disability directly impacts employment outcomes. We will discuss the importance of viewing inclusive practices as a standard for modern business excellence rather than an optional social service. Key Discussion Points: The Narrative of Value: Moving from "charity" to a recognition of the technical Knowledge and Service professionals with disabilities provide. Workforce Evolution: Analyzing how inclusive AI and vocational training create modern, resilient labor pathways. Dignity-Centered Policy: Translating high-level provincial goals into actionable, respectful employment practices. PhD, Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC) , is a 2025–2026 Fulbright U.S. Scholar at the University of Johannesburg, Soweto. As a Certified Rehabilitation Counselor, she designs applied workforce models that translate disability policy into structured, measurable employment systems. Her work spans the United States Department of Veterans Affairs’ vocational rehabilitation services and South African inclusive employment initiatives, with a focus on dignity-centered metrics and relational vocational rehabilitation—her operational framework that centers trust, agency, and long-term workforce attachment—alongside employer training and ethical AI integration. She advances practical systems that position dignity as a measurable component of modern workforce excellence.
