I'd never heard the term "rabbi trust" before. Now I know not to trust one.

Imagine a world where getting sick doesn’t mean financial ruin. It exists—in every other developed nation. The U.S. is the only wealthy country where medical bankruptcy is common. #USHealthcareSystem #MedicalDebt buff.ly/tzy1MJi

A broken leg in America can cost $20,000. In the UK? $0 at the point of care. The U.S. has the most expensive healthcare in the world—but not the best outcomes. #USHealthcareSystem #HealthcareForAll buff.ly/CfTYY0a

Heroin addict, conspiracy nut job, brain worms. This idiot is a poster child for abortion.

The greatest danger to our society IMO is putting #RFKJR in charge of the #UShealthcaresystem. It would have literally fatal consequences - for generations to come.

Gawds, this is horrific! The state of the broken #USHealthcareSystem. At this point, it's not even #HealthCare, it's a joke!

Image reads:

The most recent estimate of total, yearly, out-of-pocket payments for cancer treatment in the US is $16.2 billion, per the National Cancer Institute (data from 2019).

UnitedHealth Group made $22.3 billion in net profits in 2023.

So UHC's profit likely could have paid for all out-of-pocket cancer costs in the US.

UHC made slightly less in profits than *all other major health insurance companies combined*, which total $24.7 billion.

That's $47 billion that we are paying in PROFIT to health insurance companies.

Of course, much of that money should actually have gone to paying for care that UHC improperly denied.

*This breakdown brought to you by me fact-checking a meme I saw.

It's not just blood money, it's money we've paid for in blood.

Another reason among the infinite number to despise the #USHealthcareSystem - how hard it is to get back money you are owed from a provider. Almost none of them will just automatically refund. Currently we are due back in total over $370 from 3 providers.
