(1/2) On #ThisDayInHistory in 1988, near the end of the #IranIraqWar, the #USSVincennes intentionally and maliciously shot down an Iranian passenger jet, killing all 290 people aboard, including 66 children. The US gov. has never apologized to #Iran for this unprovoked #WarCrime.
