Na een fijn verblijf in herberg San Yanagitei in #Unazuki verlaten we dit bergdorpje. Onze volgende Japanse bestemming: #Kanazawa, waar mijn Japanse echtgenote en ik fijne herinneringen aan bewaren. We waren er met haar ouders en vele jaren later met onze eerste kleinzoon.

Als jongen van de gestampte pot ging ik naar #Japan in 1979. Vooraf had ik niet ‘geoefend’ in de #keuken van het Okura Hotel, toen het enige Japanse restaurant in Nederland. Ik kwam in een #culinair paradijs, waar ik nog steeds graag dineer. Zoals vandaag in #Unazuki.

Voor het eerst ben ik met mijn Japanse partner in de Japanse prefectuur #Toyama. We verblijven in het dorp #Unazuki in de diepste bergkloof van het land. Om die te ontdekken stapten we in het boemeltje van Kurobe Gorge Railway.

Van kabbelende rivieren en riviertjes is geen sprake in #Unazuki in #Japan, ook niet in de omgeving van dit bergdorp (prefectuur Toyama). Het hele jaar door laat Moeder Aarde het water krachtig stromen. Kortom, het is goed toeven in dit gehucht en deze streek in de Japanse Alpen.
