Link and Zelda sit in a clearing framed by cherry trees and peony bushes. Link lays in the grass and wears a dark green tunic, and Zelda sits beside him in a blue dress. The two are younger than their usual portrayal, around 14. Link looks towards Zelda in admiration, while Zelda is coy and glances away. A collection of Satori (Blupees) gather around them. They have a variety of body and face shapes.

Zelda, in her ballgown, holds the limp and lifeless body of Link, who wears a royal blue uniform. With one arm, Zelda tries to keep him up. Blood pools under her arm and stains her skirt. It has trailed up from a patch of blood on the ground she lifted him from. Zelda lifts her other hand, her right, upward. The Triforce projects from it and shines outward. The frame is made from the maw of the Dark Beast. It is illustrated in digital watercolors to mimic a fantasy storybook style. The piece is an artistic depiction of a scene from the fic and is not entirely accurate to the original scene's layout, mostly meant to be symbolic.

Princess Zelda and her brother, Aidan, stand back to back. Zelda wears ceremonial garb, and Aidan wears his royal attire, with one of the king's claymore under his palm. In the darkness, the outlines of three hands reach towards the prince: one is bony, one is dragon-like, and the other had spikes running down the arm. They are illustrated in a watercolor style as if it is the illustration of a children's book.
