I'm glad I made it to one of the #poetica events at #UofCologne, at least. This year's theme of this international #poetry event is #hospitality & this year's US poet is #ClaudiaRankine, who, among other things, spoke about the responsibility for others that comes with hospitality.

So many things are happening at the #UofCologne: together with #StimmenAfrikas, my dear #AmericanStudies colleague Johanna Pitetti-Heil organized a lecture by #KwameAnthonyAppiah on "Political Identity" this past Wednesday. Luvena Kopp from the CDSS at #UofBonn introduced Appiah & moderated the Q&A.
