We’re excited to highlight the VAHC 2025 keynote! Prof. Liz Marai (University of Illinois Chicago) will deliver: “The Blackbox Patient and the Power-of-Many” at 09:00 AM Abstract: Precision medicine aims to tailor treatment for individual patients based on big data collected from cohorts of similar patients. This power-of-many can further be used to predict treatment outcomes and treatment-related side-effects for the individual patient. Visual computing and visual analytics play an important role in the context of this problem, from calculating spatial similarity to risk communication. This talk reflects on work in this area, emerging lessons, and directions of future research. See you all tomorrow in Vienna at Room 1.14!
