In mid-1989 Havel was in jail. The Actors Studio in the U.S. staged "Audience". In December 1989 Havel was President. The Actors Studio production, and a Czech production, performing on the same stage, did "Audience" in Prague for the first time. (From PBS, 4/20/1990)
