Chuck mudd and billy O'neil are tracking some paw prints in the middle of the night. Chuck is holding a lantern. Billy is holding a repeater. Chuck states; "we're gettin' close" to which Billy asks; "what'll you do with your share?" "dunno," responds Chuck, Just wanna watch it die."
Chuck notices something odd. "check this out." When he brings his lantern up to it. It grabs the lantern. panicked, Chuck pulls out his revolver and fires at the thing. "Shoot it!" Billy follows suit and fires his repeater at the creature.
With no light, Billy and Chuck are plunged into darkness. Billy calls out; "Chuck? Chuck, is it dead?" "Dunno." Chuck responds, "Stole my lantern..." Suddenly, the two are blinded by a light as they hear the sound of the lantern being reignited.
Now lit by the glowing flame. El Chupacabra, the creature they sought, holds up the lantern. A bullet embedded itself in the chest of the creature, blood dripping out as it inspects the two who inflicted this wound.
