L.A. County's first safe parking for homeless people living in RVs opens in Crenshaw Los Angeles County has opened its first safe parking location for recreational vehicles. The pilot has spaces for 14 RVs that can stay for up to six months while their owners seek permanent housing.

90,000 people were displaced because of the wildfires near LA. As many as 50% of them are living in their vehicles. We need a LOT more of these. #vehicleresidency #houseless #lafires

#vehicleresidents face so many challenges. Many are listed here. We are not going away. All we ask is for our #humanrights to exist. #vehicleresidency is not the problem, and in fact is often the solution. We want governments to stop treating us like #secondclasscitizens.

One of my favorite things about #vehicleresidency in the #Quartzsite, #Arizona is the amazing sunrises, sunsets, and starry nights, which you can see so much better because there is little surface light pollution.

I left my home state of #Vermont to go into the #arizonadesert for the winter. It's a warmer climate so I won't freeze to death in my #carhome. Many aren't as lucky as me, they can't leave for warmer areas. #vehicleresidency
