I loved the fact that neither of his two major Scottish exhibitions were in Edinburgh, a town whose art high heidyins so rejected him.
I also loved the fact that I got to visit both Kelvingrove and Kirkcaldy to enjoy his early and later works 👌

In 1996, my mum met #Vettriano. She asked him to sign the exhibition catalogue for me. Art world snobs didn't like his work him, but many people adored it. He could conjure mood & tell stories like stills from a movie.
