Project Update (Nov 2025 - Feb 2026) Hello everyone! I’m really sorry about how long it’s taken for our team to give you guys another update! Progress has been very slow, but I’m here to give an update on what our team has been up to. We’ve all been very busy since December, and therefore we haven’t had a lot of individual time specifically dedicated to the project, but progress is still being made. Artists The Artist team has currently finished the Eclipse reference sheet, as you might have seen, and Bloodmoon is very nearly done! All of the conversations about art style have finished related to Bloodmoon, and currently the artists are in the progress of prioritising work on the reference sheet before they can move on to the next character. Writers The writers finished the character conversations about Stitchwraith very recently. This includes all the character plans, background and some story concepts for what might be used in the final game. They’re planning on moving over to Eclipse very soon! Programmers The programmer has been focused on work related to the conversation system. This system is overall nearly functional, with just the movement between scenes, and characters changing pose needing to be made. Hoping to get some visuals for what work has been done so far to your guys within the next couple of updates, when it is functional. It will still likely be using visual placeholders for some time. Project Summary Hello everyone! This post is to summarise what we’ve done so far since starting the project, to the release date of this document. We’ll be trying to write one of these reports roughly once a month, to document progress. Progress may not necessarily be fast, due to this being a completely volunteer project, but progress is being made all the time! Basic project brief This game is a fangame based on the Villain Plays AU of TSBS, additionally adding dating sim / visual novel mechanics to it. The game’s going to be mostly dialogue, with some CG art for certain scenes to add impact. The scope’s remaining quite small due to this being a new experience for the team as a whole. The Game’s going to include 4 characters, Bloodmoon, Eclipse, Miku and Stitchwraith in key roles. All of them are datable aside from Stitchwraith who is the sole platonic route, due to him being comprised of two children. Other characters were considered but due to the group being small and limitations of choices, we decided to focus on the main four. Artists The artists have had their focus on creating the concept art for the characters within the project, since further project work cannot start until there is a better idea as to what assets will be needed from the Writer’s team. The design process of them has already been finished, and full character sheets featuring the character and the art style are currently being worked on. Eclipse’s sheet is nearly done at the moment.

Writers The writers have been currently working on trying to concept what stories might be told, and have been set on studying the current episodes of villain plays to get an idea as to character dynamics. They’ve just started Stitchwraith. Some concepts for potential scenes have been written as well, to hopefully be slotted in when a full narrative arc has been decided. Programmers The programming team has been focused on development. Due to a miscommunication between developers, the actual Talking screens are not yet functional, but the title screen and options screens have a degree of functionality. Further work will continue when the conversation system is functional. The game is currently made up entirely of placeholder assets while work takes place. Last news Thank you very much for reading! Dating with Evil is a Dating Sim Visual novel where you get to personally take the knife and stab romance into some of your favourite villains. This game will feature datable plotlines for Bloodmoon, Miku and Eclipse, and a platonic plotline for Stitchwraith.
