The tablet fragment was barely in Rei's hands as a crunch of leaves came from behind. Normally this sound would be followed by a strike from a Paras but it was a familiar face. "I was watching your battle from the safety of these trees. Well done on giving those scoundrels what-for!" His voice hummed with a sense of pride. The smile of his was contagious. Volo leaned in a little closely. "I wouldn't like to imagine what would've happened to you if you didn't hold your own against those three." He wore the humility on his face, accompanied by an awkward laugh. It felt right to laugh back, although Rei didn't quite understand what Volo meant... He corrected his posture, hands on his hips with a more serious look than usual.
