Vultures = nature’s cleanup crew. They stop disease + keep balance. But poison is wiping them out. In Kenya, 6 of 7 species are threatened. Big Life’s work to reduce conflict has nearly ended poisoning in our area, giving vultures hope. #VultureDay
Diminutive Hooded Vulture, also Critically Endangered, wait their turn not only till White-backed Vultures have had their fill, but also Marabou Storks. Meticulously clean, they spend lots time bathing, preening & sunning. They suffer much from illegal poisoning & other threats. #vultureday 3/25
