Still one of my favorite #WB100 Project banners.
Felt it was appropriate to use today.

You know, this thread reminded me that I never did a #WB100 banner for Chuck Norris Karate Kommandos.
And you know what?
Pizza is delicious. You guys should try Screamin' Sicilian's pepperoni pizza. Not an ad/paid promotion. It's insanely good.
Oh, and I'm still not making a banner for the show
Enter The Dragon (Warner Bros/Golden Harvest, 1973)
Back when I started the #WB100 Project, I knew I wanted to do customized versions of the WB100 banner that changed the look and colors of the design.
One of the first I did was for Enter The Dragon.
Felt I needed to reshare it here today.
For reasons.
Posted this two years ago as part of the #WB100 Project.
Fitting to celebrate that part of Warner Bros' legacy today on its 29th anniversary.
I think that's one of the things I miss from that other place.
Queuing posts ahead of time really helped me a lot when I was doing #WB100 Project posts. a couple of years ago.
Here's what I did in full for #WB100 x #BlackHistoryMonth:

Invincible Fight Girl (Cartoon Network Studios, 2024)
When I made my #WB100 #BlackHistoryMonth banners back in 2024, I wanted to reflect the colors of both flags and really wanted to get them right.
I think I did okay.
Two years ago for #BlackHistoryMonth, I dedicated part of The #WB100 Project to celebrate the stories from Warner Bros's extended history with Black media, including series and studio firsts, starting with The Learning Tree (1969). I put all of those stories on Thoughtnami as well.
Marine Boy (Warner Bros-Seven Arts/K. Fujita Associates Inc./Japan Tele-Cartoons, 1966)
The World's Greatest Superfriends (Hanna-Barbera/DC Comic, 1979)
Silverhawks (Lorimar-Telepictures/Rankin-Bass, 1986)
Challenge of the Go-Bots (Hanna-Barbera/Tonka, 1984)

You know, I love going back to The #WB100 Project. Spent an entire year making those images because I wanted to celebrate the legacy of Warner Bros for its centennial in 2023 & show how relevant that library remains today.
Like the late-night MeTV Toons lineup from 1:30 AM to 4 AM E/P.
I knew when I was making my #WB100 Icons series back in 2023 and 2024, I knew I had to honor Sara. She was talented as sin, could do many dialects and impressions, but never got that love. I wanted to celebrate her in that anniversary year and let folks know who she was.

"Beau Brummel" (1924), an early Warner Bros. silent movie starring John Barrymore. One of the first to be featured on TCM's #WB100 tribute in April 2023.

I was heavily inspired by #WB100 and several other design concepts by @nemalki.bsky.social that I thought of imagining some sort of brand identity concept for Warner Bros. Animation.
The typeface and color from the Saul Bass Big W logo highlights part retro part modern.

Crud... the links didn't really show the full link names. The first one was for my Cartoon Network continuity revision.
The second one was my first extension of the #WB100 Project I made that also honored Cartoon Network's 30th anniversary.
The third link was a continuity project I had for MeTV.

Thank you.
The whole Project #WB100 was a labor of love. I made over 1000 banners throughout the centennial year. Doubt I'll ever do anything that extreme for a while, but you're more than free to check out my Behance page to see those portfolios.

Thanks. Back in 2023, when I was doing Project #WB100, I was going to do a couple of rebranding efforts for Cartoon Network, Boomerang & Discovery (WB) Family. The CN continuity rebranding stuff did get made (and here it is: www.behance.net/gallery/1780...) but I shelved the others. Computer issues.
I appreciate that, thank you.
The #WB100 Project was a whole lot of fun, and I wanted to show my love for one of the greatest studios and its grand extended legacy, especially shows and films that don't get much recognition.
Yeah, I know... the anniversary was two years ago, but dang, I had so much fun with the #WB100 Project.
So much fun.

I love Easter Yeggs. A truly underrated short from Robert McKimson. Silly and fun.
When I was doing the #WB100 Project, it was the only holiday I did two images for since it came twice during the anniversary year.
The second time tied to the 25th anniversary of The Matrix.
Deja-vu indeed.
I did a series of #WB100 posts for Black History Month last year, and those got bombarded with the hashtag. It had gotten so damn obnoxious, I nearly stopped before my intended end date.
So, now that it's saved and will be released, you folks better show the hell up when it comes out.
For nearly two years, I got bombarded with that hashtag every time I mentioned Warner Bros. I did a whole year where I did the #WB100 Project and celebrated the studio's 100th anniversary, which is far more than what the studio actually did, and that hashtag was everywhere.
Dr. Kildare (Turner [MGM Television], 1961)
The Thorn Birds (Warner Bros Television/David Wolper-Stan Margoles Productions, 1983)
I heard Richard Chamberlain passed away this weekend at the age of 90. I remember as a kid my mom swooned over The Thorn Birds way back in the day. I know he was great on Dr. Kildare and the original Shōgun as well. The dude was iconic. #WB100
Frank Marsales (1886-1976)
Bernard B. Brown (1898-1981)
Norman Spencer (1891-1940)
It has come to my attention that there are a lot of folks who don't know what the major composers of Looney Tunes looked like. Last year, when I was still doing my #WB100 Project series, I made some images dedicated to the Icons of WB, and posted them on my Behance account.
The first three:
WB100 Icons - Friz Freleng (1905-1995)
WB100 Icons - Chuck Jones (1912-2002)
WB100 Icons - Bob Clampett (1913-1984)
WB100 Icons - Tex Avery (1908-1980)
God, I loved those #WB100 Icon pieces I made for the Termite Terrace guys. Just doesn't seem like a year passed since I posted them.
While I'm on the subject of Invincible Fight Girl, here's the last of my #WB100 #BlackHistoryMonth Rewind.
I didn't have the show last year, but I definitely had to include it, especially since it was announced within the 1923-2023 window of the Project.

I knew I forgot to link to my #WB100 #BlackHistoryMonth Rewind yesterday:
thoughtnami.blogspot.com/2025/02/rewi...
Been preparing for a winter storm that's coming to my part of the world tomorrow, it went past me.
Added some films and shows I forgot to mention last year, so enjoy.
Part 3 of the #WB100 #BlackHistoryMonth Rewind
thoughtnami.blogspot.com/2025/02/rewi...
I added a few new entries that I missed last year. Some I was really kicking myself about. Had to right those wrongs.
Part 2 of the #WB100 #BlackHistoryMonth Rewind.
thoughtnami.blogspot.com/2025/02/rewi...
Basically, I'm doing these rewinds on Mondays for the rest of the month. I'm also filling in some gaps I missed the first time around, like Super Fly.
Yes, Warner Bros owns Super Fly and Shaft. And more.
