At least that’s what most characters in Starting Over would say. The game isn’t set in a specific place aside from the US, so let’s assume everyone gets their wish and it’s in Barrow, Alaska.

Winter is pretty harsh in Pines as it's set in a northern locale that's pretty elevated. The roads out get shut down in the deep of winter and don't open until the early spring, so winter prep is absolutely important. It's not a good time to have an emergency.

In Prentend We're Not Here, winter is fine, and I guess a more idealized version of late autumn and the early winter.
It takes place in Arkansas so it's tolerable, but when I write about winter I tend to reflect my own childhood winters in it.
