We spent a great day charting the roots of the Easy Company story in Aldbourne today. It is always fascinating to consider the relationship between US service personnel like the US 101st Airborne Division and the British communities on which they were billeted.

The Easy Company memorial at Bois Jacques, visited during our @wwiimuseum.bsky.social #easycompany tour. It is always interesting to point out that all fatalities of Easy, apart from John Julian, occurred in Jan 1945 during so called ‘offensive phase’.

On our route from Eindhoven to the Ardennes on the NWW2M #EasyCompany Tour we always stop at the NL US Cemetery in Margraten where 5 Easy Company men are buried. This tour, we laid a wreath at the grave of Robert Van Klinken (24), KIA Nuenen 20 Sept 1944.
